Yesterday's Cupcakes Take The Cake Arts and Crafts Day at Etsy Labs was so much fun!  I made a button, decorated a tote bag, and had some t-shirts silk screened. There were people of all ages who came to get crafty and eat cupcakes. A million thanks to Anda, Mary and Michelle of Etsy Labs. Thanks to Jason of Crumbs Bakeshop. Thanks to Diana  and Heather for doing the silk screening.

We had a blast!

K is for....Typography Bangle by Kap City

Last night after drinks in Midtown, I stopped by the second anniversary party of Etsy at the Etsy Labs, and ran into Kristen who is a friend  of friend who I have seen at a few house parties. She makes a mean trifle.  :) I also found out that she has an Etsy shop and she makes supercool typography bangles.

BTW, Cupcake bloggers will be getting crafty on July 7 when we will have a Cupcake Arts and Crafts Day at Etsy Labs.

I wandered around a part of Brooklyn that I never go to find the Etsy Labs (325 Gold St). It was a party celebrating the opening of Etsy Labs which is a hip craft collective. I met Alison Lewis from Switch. Plus, I spotted one of the Joshs from Sugarcandy and Project Runway's Angela Keslar.  Her glasses are too cute.

Later I went to the PowerHouse Arena in DUMBO, got indignant at Bubby's since their kitchen closes at 9PM (WTF?!). Finally I ate some delicious pizza at Grimaldi's. [BTW, DUMBO will never ever be the hotness!]

Pink crochet, originally uploaded by Aine D.

Thanks to a donation of yarn three weeks ago, a crochet hook I bought at a knit shop in the Village and a lot of idle time in the airport, I have started crocheting again.  I learned how back when I was about 10 years old, and thankfully I remembered.  The picture above is not of the throw/blanket I am making for my bed, but it is the double stitch I am using.  It's not Etsy quality craftwork, but it will do.

Come to Chicks and Giggles tonight.
PVC is tomorrow.

I work everyday until February 10...Sigh!
