This Is It

Watch: Vimby (Video In My Backyard), is a video content site devoted to capturing young lifestyle and culture all over the nation.  It's kind of a Outside.in + MySpace thing.  Local is the new global, you know.

Rent:  Flyrig is a New York apartment rental website with listing and a Google map showing the closest subways.

Date: C is for Cupid is a free dating site for cancer survivors. I read about it in The Brooklyn Paper yesterday.  BTW, The Connecticut Muffin at the Southwest corner of Prospect Park is like Grand Central Station on Saturday mornings.

Look:  As far as makeover reality shows, I am a fan.  Lifetime's How To Look Good Naked is more than entertaining; it is pretty therapeutic as women deal with their body issues with the lovable Carson Kressley.

Out of the loop: Who is Flo Rida?

Plan:  Some Kiwis have developed a web 2.0 application called Plan HQ for helping you build a business plan online.

Yes, I am late to the game, but Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black" is one that I listen to over and over again like I did with " The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill" back in the day.

Web 2.0 App: Better searching through Sputtr.

Show: The Lascivious Biddies are play at Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen Street),  Thursday May 24 at 8PM.  Plus, they have a new EP, "Love You, Mean It".

Book:  From blog to book, Ed Hamilton has a book coming out this fall,   Legends of the Chelsea Hotel: Living with the Rebels and Outlaws of New York’s Rebel Mecca.

Strawberry Letter #23

Eat:  Strawberry Lemon Trifle at Sugar Sweet Sunshine.  It's a summertime delight!

Bid: Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls is having a kick-a$$ auction.

Radar: Twitter for pictures?  Send pictures directly to friends from your phone or digicam.

New Wave: Santi White's new music project, Santogold is hOt!

Newtown

Yardbarker:  Deadspin meets Digg?  Here is a sports site for Monday morning quarterbacks, Tuesday morning point guards, and Wednesday morning pitchers. (via PaidContent)

Starnum:  Maybe this site is the solution for monetizing your recommendations.  BTW, Google is re-launching Froogle into Google Product Search.

Pandora: Click here to save it.

Because Of Money

Every once in a while,  I see  something I like and put it on my This Next list.   Currently, there's not a way to "monetize" this, but I like doing it anyway. There a few applications doing the image/shopping search thing (Wists, Snap, TheFind and Like), hopefully one will make it happen easily.

Wednesday is Web 2.0 + cleavage day. I took the above pic about 18 months ago, and I just realized how patriotic it looks. God Bless America!

Speaking of America, you can find cheap flights using Farecast.

You can call for free in and out of America by using All Free Calls .

If you love things made in America, then you may want to check out the new Etsy Labs in Brooklyn.

If you love the band called America, then maybe you have a playlist on Pandora with your favorites.  You can meet other Pandora-philes in New York on February 7.
